The Miss Universe 2009 was held in Nassau, Bahamas, Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009.

It must be great for Venezuela to won 2 times in a row!  Stefania Fernandez, won the crown that 84 contestants wished for. I haven’t watched the whole pageant though because I needed to work. It was aired here in the Philippines, August 24, 2009, Monday at 9:30AM. Even though, I read few articles on-line which kept me informed.

As what you can see in the first image, Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe 2008 places the sash for Miss Universe 2009, Stefania Fernandez. The crown briefly fell to the floor as it was passed on. See image in this page: Crown fell from her head. You can also see few photos from the pageant in that page. You’ll  get to see how excited and grateful she was.
