Pinoy Big Brother Audition: First Judgement

“Who was the last person you  spoke with last night?,” was the question one of the directors asked. Oh gosh, it was different. “Ok. That’s easy,” I thought to myself.

The microphone was passed on to the guy at right of the line and told them his answer. The next one to answer was Mhel, the guy which I was really comfortable conversing with in our line earlier. He told the directors that the last person he spoke with was his mother. They talked about his future, the things they like to achieve, etc, etc. I can’t really remember the rest of his answer.

When it was turn, I told them the last person I spoke with was Jesus (I know some can’t consider him a person ‘coz he’s a God), but I still decided to continue. I told him about me, participating in this audition. “If it’s not for me, it would be fine. No hard feelings,” with a matching smile on my face. :)  While I was answering their question, I noticed the director who asked the question continuously nodded his head as if he wanted me to finish my statement fast! I guess I told them so much that they wanted me to shut up and let the next one answer. By that time,  I thanked them and passed the mic on guy next to me.

It was.. weird. Haha. I felt weird. Why didn’t I just told them who it was and be done with it. So, all of us on the stage answered like that: Told them who and explained what was the topic of the conversation.

After waiting for the last participant to finish, I looked at the papers around the directors. It was our application forms. Bundles of ‘em. They looked at our picture while we answered their question. I also noticed direct Loren Dyogi standing behind the other two directors, crossed arms. He was wearing a blue jacket. Few staffs of the reality show also wore jackets. I wondered why. It wasn’t cold.

So, the last guy in our batch was finished. We stood there after few seconds and the director who asked the question thanked us for participating. We went down the stage and proceeded to the exit where a Security Guard was standing. We waited for their Queue on what should we do next.

The guard looked at a person behind us and nodded his head. After that, he asked us to remove our numbers (It was a yellow neon colored sticker that we put on our shirts which we also had to carry around even during lunch time).  That made us wonder. Was it over?

Yes. We think it was over because while we waited in our seats behind the division of the stage, we saw random people go out with their numbers on, smiling, happy. We guessed they got to the next level. Congratulations!

We are not sure but we still have unanswered questions in our minds. Will they call us for another audition? Hmm.. We didn’t think so. This was like a one-day-hiring process like most of the call centers. Even though, I felt good. At least I tried! I didn’t lost anything.

I walked out of the ladies room to meet my boyfriend. It was really funny, I almost laugh out loud! What an experience.

He led me to the mall’s exit and we waved goodbye to the mall. Goodbye SM…

Goodbye PBB.. :)

Pinoy Big Brother Audition: Participants

The line of participants grew longer as time goes by. I couldn’t make my self not to think of what would happen if I reached the end of the it. Questions like, will they ask what my talent is? Should I speak english when asked so they would be impressed? Will the audition be in a room or on a stage in front of the public’s speculating eye? I’m glad my boyfriend was with me, that I had someone to talk to. He never left me until the line were moved to the mall’s west wing. He went inside to relax a little since he had been standing for few hours. I insisted to stay in the line.

The great thing about this event was I got to meet new friends which had the same hope as did: to be a housemate. We even wished all of us would be accepted so it won’t be too hard to adjust inside the Pinoy Big Brother house. We chatted while we waited, exchanged thoughts on why we wanted to join, etc.

Finally, around 12 or 1 pm, we made it to the mall’s 3rd floor where the stage was fixated. We all started to get really, really, really nervous when it was our turn to climb up.  There was a camera man taking each participants’ head shots which was displayed on the screen in front of three directors. We listened carefully to their question. It was about the Broadband issue way back that year. We also tried to answer that to our selves but I couldn’t find mine! I wasn’t aware of what was happening with the world. Haha. I told my self, if that same question would be asked, I’ll tell them honestly what I know. ZEro.

Again, we were all nervous. Conscious enough about the way we look. This was it. Judgement time!

Pinoy Big Brother Audition: Preparation and Venue

I was already informed before ABS-CBN aired the audition for Pinoy Big Brother Season 3 in the television. I searched its schedule over the Internet. I asked my parents’ permission if I can join the said reality show and they gladly agreed. They said, they’ll get to see my attitudes and behaviors towards other people, etc, etc. Though I can’t really say if they were excited for me, yet they supported me. “Go if you like to go. No prob.” :)

I didn’t prepare much before the audition. I know some people did. I just went to a photo studio and had my portrait and whole body shot, got all the necessary requirements like photocopy of birth certificate, brown envelop and a pen (the most important thing).

The audition was held in SM Sucat so I really needed someone who can be with me. I was not familiar in Sucat so I had to tag my boyfriend along. As we got off the jeepney, we immediately saw a line starting to build up in-front of the mall. “Whoa,” was my immediate response. At that early time, 7am, I was number 1500++ participant. I wonder what time did those aspiring “housemates” came. So much people was there. We couldn’t find which was the end of the line. It was good enough to see an Event Marshal watching out for people like us. He told us to get a form and fall in the line in-front of  a long table near the mall’s main entrance.

PBB3I really laugh each time I remember this! It was, I think, year 2007 when I tried to audition for Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Season 3. My boyfriend and I were in the venue early in the morning and got to the end of the line almost late in the afternoon. I can’t remember the exact time I was done though. That was really an unforgettable experience. Please don’t expect anything! I never get in.  I don’t have the X-Factor that each actress, models or the public icon people have. :) I just tried my luck.

Before the audition date came in, I told my family not to spoil it to anybody. I didn’t wanted anyone know about me trying to take the first step of the Pinoy Big Brother competition. I’m just over with it that’s why you’re reading this post now…

Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up (or the Season 3) will be aired in the Philippines on October 4, 2009, Sunday. I’m excited to see the new house mates. I might recognize one of them. :)
